The beautiful always finish last

I've been wanting to speak about this for a while but until now I haven't had much to say except to friends in my circle. At this past Collections Ball hosted by Jasmine Couture Mizrahi there was an incident involving Legendary Icon Kristina Tsunami and Ginger Mizrahi. During a heated battle during the female figure performance category there were a lot of thing that I was not happy to see. For starter when I logged into W4me and read that Ginger, of all people, had won the 5K I was shocked. To the point where I had no words. I still to this very day don't see how she was allowed to walk but I guess if you new overall mother and financial source for the category is the ball promoter anything is possible....."Sigh"....I just got done watching the dvd that I waited almost 2 weeks to get, not thanks to Andre Chanel, and got into the drama that was the main topic of the blogtalk radio shows for the past 2 weeks. And was it drama.

I sat in horror and watched how the whole category went from start to finish. In my opinion the only girls who should've received 10's were Deja La Perla, Kristina Tsunami, Roxy Evisu, Tamaya Allure, Skittles Herrea, A khan??, and just because Malaysia Ebony. Long story short watching what went down and how Kristina was attacked by Donald Miza and how she lost knocked the wind out of me. From Ginger grabbing Kristina's hands to head butting her, to stepping on her to winning the 5k. It's no wonder Kristina lost it and grabbed Ginger by her hair..lol..Now I don't condone violence but I know by that time Kristina had had enough. I watched as Kool Aid held her as she cried in defeat and it really broke my heart.

Money aside what took place was unacceptable on Jasmines part as the ball host. She should've taken charge of the situation the moment things got out of hand. Luckily there were those on her side such as my house brother Milan Garcons, Sania Ebony, James Icon, Kool Aid Khan, and a good portion of the scene. What happened is a prime example of why the true show stoppers and legends don't come to balls anymore because the scene has lost it's respect value. I'm sad to say that Kristina has washed her hands of the scene. I wished she would stay because there are so few talented kind hearted people left. Her talent and gift is something that I always looked forward to seeing when ever she would hit the floor. Her performance is like nothing I've ever seen and it inspires me and so many others to hit that floor even when it seems that our efforts go unrecognized.

Pretty soon I to will will be done because as many have said before things have changed for the worst and it's getting to the point where it's not even worth it anymore. As much as I enjoy what I do, even though it hasn't been for long, I can see now that it's not something I can continue with either. I do however wish her luck on continuing her education and I hope that from time to time she will hit that floor just to make people like me loose it just for old times sake.

Hot looks for the season

The BALMAIN "look"

Sharp tailored jackets, mostly in black, with those 80's
power shoulders ah la Dynasty. Underneath add a simple
white tank or slinky halter top. Paired with super skinny jeans
or leggings. And for added pop be on the look out for leggings with
texture and prints such as leopard and zebra strips.

As far as jeans look for coated jeans or jeans with studs, beads or rhinestones.
Also short ankle boots or a killer pair of pumps topped off with a great bag or bold clutch.

To pull this look together try to stay with in the same color scheme.
For example black and white. You can never go wrong with this and the pieces can be mixed latter on with other pieces in you wardrobe.

The couture military jacket is another key piece from this look.
You can find them almost anywhere. I've seen many different ones in
Forever 21. For a little added glam you can add the trimming yourself.
You can find it in almost any craft or fabric store.

If that's to much work you can go the easy route and find a old marching band uniform jacket in
a thrift store for with the same effect.

I'll be posting my looks for less soon!!!!

Fabulosity Weekend.....Or was it??

Well my first post go well but we'll get to that latter....

Anyway this Saturday I woke up and got ready for work. I ran out to work and ran myself thin it was nuts. I had been waiting for a while for this ball which was hosted by Daryle and my uncle David Illuminati. Let me just say that i had mixed feelings about this ball because of "My" categories. I'm not going to get into it but lets just say one of them wasn't appropriate for the season.  When I got home around 11 PM my poor feet were killing me!!!!!!  I was running around my house like a mad woman trying on things and running back and forth to my laptop. I showered, did my make up, steamed my garments (again) and put on my "Amy". The look I was going for was inspired by Amy Whinehouse....Yes hair and all everyone got a kick out of it.

So after all was said and done my daddy Tye and Camille came and snatched me up and we were off to the ball. When arrived LSS was well under way. All my house members were there Teddy, Vanity, Shannon, Alyssa, Whitney, D'von, etc....

We ended up winning BQ Face, Sneaker vs. Sneaker, Butch Realness, as well as Grand Prize Runway OTA for $500 which went to D'von who did an amazing job. Alas I didn't get to walk which
meant I got done to sit and watch the backs of the crowd all for $25 which I could have saved. I was mad as hell. Tye and Shannon did their best to try to get my category called even tough it was skipped over 3 times for what I don't know.

Let me also say this....I'm getting so sick of these horrible judges that sit on these panels stoned and drunk out of their minds and end up wasting time and chopping people for no good reason. Some of these people, legends or not, should NEVER EVER sit on a panel.  Two of my house members were chopped after getting their tens and were brought back it was a mess!!!!!!!

Anyway after it was over I was back home disrobing and fell straight to bed.

What a weekend....

Next stop the Black Card Ball part 2 in ATL!!!!!!!!.
